4th of July

We had planned to be in Blakely for the 4th but a summertime cold took down the baby (the last hold out) and we all stayed home hoping to finally kick this cold for good. Annie woke up with a fever so Daddy stayed home with her while Sam, Walt and I went to a small neighborhood parade. And we shot some small fireworks in the front yard before a delayed bedtime. I had hoped to get some good family pictures in the red, white and blue we were all sporting at the beginning of the day. But due to fever and spit up and wardrobe malfunctions, Walt was the only one still patriotic at the end of the day. I guess there's always next year.

Waiting on the parade.

It ended up being only decorated golf carts but they liked it.

Collecting candy.

Beads!

It was a good starter parade for their first experience.

The balloon man was awesome.

Walt's dog didn't make it back to the car but he love him while he lasted.

Sam got a blue mouse.

Sam was a little timid when it came to lighting the fireworks.

But she was happy to tell me all about them.

Walt loved them all.

No fear. Just joy.

Getting braver.

Adam is literally passing the torch of fireworks fascination.

Walt is hooked and takes it very seriously.
